Dragon Palace Cave 龙宫

Longgong

Dragon Palace is a karst landscape in which part of the visitor route follows an underground river by boat.

A rough stone archway set into a boulder wall, its keystone panel inscribed 龍騰堡 in red with carved couplets on either side, opening onto a timber gallery with lattice windows; moss, ferns and a large tree frame it, and a child sits at the threshold.

About Dragon Palace Cave

Tianchi Lake marks the watery approach, and illuminated stalactites and stalagmites line the accessible cave chambers. The surface waterfall and cave interior show two connected parts of the same water system. Use the operator’s route for the day: rain and water levels can change boat access and which cave sections are available.

What to look for

  • The boat route passes mineral formations inside the water-filled cave.
  • Tianchi Lake and the surface waterfall connect the underground river with the outside landscape.

Getting to Dragon Palace Cave

Travel to Longtan Village in Longgong town, Xixiu District, southwest of Anshun. The local guide identifies Anshun East Bus Station as a departure point; confirm the service or arrange a transfer to the Longgong visitor entrance.

General visit reminders

Allow room for the terrain and weather when choosing your route. Check the operator’s current trail, shuttle and cableway notices where applicable, and confirm the return connection before setting out. A broad landscape pin does not identify every trailhead or access point.
