The approach branches away from the main Pamir highway into the mountains west of Oytagh. Its greener forest setting provides a different experience from the exposed plateau lakes farther along the highway. Enjoy the ice and mountain landscape from the managed visitor route; a sightseeing visit does not imply access onto a glacier.

Getting to Oytagh Glacier Park
Arrange a road connection to Kizilsu Glacier Park west of Oytagh Town in Akto County, branching from G314. Confirm the day’s road, park entry and any document requirements with the operator before departing Kashgar or Akto.
