About Mount Yaoshan
Part of the Qianshan offshoot of the Changbai mountain system, the ridge extends from northeast to southwest. Its principal summit is Shihuading at 888.7 metres. Streams cut through the mountain scenery, with Pearl Waterfall in the Qinghua area among the named water features.
Qinghua Guan and Miaofeng Temple are among the cultural sites recorded on the mountain. Stone inscriptions add a written layer to this religious landscape, alongside the peaks, unusual rock forms and plant life that give Yaoshan its natural character.
