About Qinling Wildlife Park

China News Service Shaanxi, reporting the anniversary in May 2024, described the park as working to a core of ecological protection and a remit of popular science education, and recorded that it had bred white rhinoceroses successfully in two consecutive years and that its wildebeest and eland herds had become the largest exhibited groups of their kind in China. The same report put the park's 2023 visitor numbers past two million. At the anniversary event, four long-resident animals were given plaques: the golden snub-nosed monkey Shuaishuai, the chimpanzee Aiai, the hamadryas baboon Dakui and the mandrill Dashan.

A Xi'an Evening News report carried on Cnwest a fortnight later set out what was new that spring. It gave the park's flamingo collection as nearly 40 birds of three kinds — Chilean, Cuban and Peruvian — and repeated the successive breeding of two white rhinoceroses. It also recorded that from 3 January in the year of the report the park's animals had given birth in succession, with takin, Siberian tiger, zebra and others producing 23 young in all, of which 15 had been shown to visitors by the time of writing, with two more tiger cubs and six more takin calves still to come. All of these counts are those of 2024 reports; neither cited page describes the park's layout, area or grade, and no cited page states which district of Xi'an it stands in.
