About Linhuan City Site
Wall sections survive on the east, north and west, with traces of a moat outside them; the river protected the southern side. The surrounding town adds a later layer of merchant streets and traditional teahouses. Read the surviving earthworks from the designated paths rather than treating them as a complete masonry wall to climb.
What to look for
- The surviving earthen wall sections and moat on three sides of the old settlement.
- The relationship between the southern town edge and the Hui River.
