About Tianxia Gorge
The Jiulian waterfall group draws water from the southwestern slopes of Miaodao Mountain. Streams descend through rocky ground and pools within the gorge, placing the falls in a wider landscape of wooded slopes and irregular rock formations.
Above the water, dense wild rhododendrons give the ridges a distinct spring character. Their red flowers appear among pines and rocks, so the higher slopes and the waterfall valley offer different views of the same mountain landscape.
