Curry Beef Offal (咖喱牛杂) is one of Macau’s (澳門) street-snack preparations. At the Fengcheng Xuan (鳳城軒美食) stall during the 2024 international food carnival, a Global Times reporter tried both plain and curry versions on separate visits, finding the curry bowl spicier.
How it is made
Individual businesses emphasize their own sauces. Macau’s Economic and Technological Development Bureau describes Kam Wah (锦华小食) as cooking both its signature offal and curry sauce in-house, starting from raw ingredients rather than processing semi-finished products. The family business has passed from its first to its second generation.
Where it comes from
At Heng You (恆友), another family business profiled by Macau’s investment-promotion bureau in 2020, curry fish balls, beef offal and assorted balls formed the original snack range. The family moved from tailoring into curry snacks in 1993, and later also sold its curry paste in bottles for customers to take home.
