About Open Pit Ecological Park

The water occupies the old mine cavity, so the broad shape of the lake remains part of the industrial story. A museum reuses former mine buildings to explain that transformation. Getting to Open Pit Ecological Park

Use the Open-Pit Museum on Caikuang Road in Maonan as a named arrival point inside the ecological park. From there, select a signed public lakeside section; the lake is too large for its centre pin to be a useful entrance.
