Baise Uprising Memorial Park spreads over Houlongshan, Panlongshan and Yinglongshan on the eastern side of Baise city, in Youjiang district, western Guangxi. It commemorates the uprising Deng Xiaoping and others led here on 11 December 1929, and was formed in 2008 by drawing several existing revolutionary sites into one themed park.

About Baise Uprising Memorial Park

The sites China Tourism News records as brought together in 2008 were the Baise Uprising Memorial Museum, the Youjiang Museum of Nationalities, the Baise Uprising Monument, the Red Army Bridge, the Bronze Drum Tower, the Nange Pavilion and the Guangdong-Guangxi Youth Friendship Garden. The park is the core area of the scenic area known as Liangjiang hongqi, Baise fenglei, one of twelve key red-tourism scenic areas designated centrally.

Baise groups its revolutionary sites into an older and a newer set of three. The older three are the former headquarters of the Seventh Red Army, the Baise Uprising Memorial Museum and the Baise Uprising Revolutionary Martyrs Monument; the newer three are the Baise Uprising Heroes Sculpture Park, the forest of stelae carrying Deng Xiaoping's calligraphy, and the central-axis landscape of the memorial museum. The headquarters of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army Seventh Army occupied the Yuedong Guildhall, which sits on the park's route alongside Jiefang Street and the Red Army wharf. The park was raised to 5A grade shortly before January 2020, after Baise had put 350 million yuan into upgrading it from 2013, and the autonomous region's culture and tourism department carried it at 5A in its register compiled to the end of 2021.
