About Heixiazi Island Scenic Area

In the wetland park, wooden boardwalks pass among waterways and banks thick with wetland vegetation. This waterside landscape is one component of the developed scenic area, rather than a route across the island as a whole.

Dongji Pagoda gives the visitor area a contrasting architectural focus. Its design draws on Han and Tang styles, while the surrounding plaza contains symbolic sculptures, including the Dongji ceremonial ding and a turtle reaching towards the water.

What to look for

  • Waterways and wetland plants beside the wetland park’s wooden boardwalks.
  • The Han–Tang-inspired Dongji Pagoda and its sculptural plaza.
