About Taoshan Lake and Taoshan Park

At the lake, the wetland promenade and waterside boardwalks place open water beside reeds and lotus ponds. The lake is also known as Taoshan Reservoir, and its shores form part of the city’s mountain-and-water setting.

Taoshan Park has a separate focal point in City Light, a trophy-shaped sculpture completed in August 2023. Created by Heilongjiang Daily Press Group with Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, it expresses Qitaihe’s identity as a home of Olympic champions.
