About Enshi Tusi Imperial City
Its gateway, Linjun shrine and Jiujintang palace sequence bring different building forms into one visitor route. The complex began construction in 1998 and opened in 2002, so its elaborate halls should be understood as interpretation and reconstruction. For travellers, it offers a convenient introduction to Tusi culture in the city; the archaeological remains at Tangya require a separate excursion.
What to look for
- The monumental gateway and the Jiujintang palace sequence.
- Linjun shrine and the reconstructed wall-and-courtyard setting.
