About Yueyang Museum
The ancient-civilisation display follows objects from the wider area, while local folk-culture material connects them with later life around the lake. Its Nanhu setting also places it near a different body of water from the tower’s Dongting frontage. Use the current exhibition list to choose between the permanent regional story and temporary shows, without relying on old gallery names as a guarantee of what is on display.
What to look for
- The regional archaeological sequence in the Yueyang ancient-civilisation display.
- Folk-culture objects connected with life in the Dongting region.
