About Lou Lim Ieoc Garden
Narrow paths weave between bamboo, flowering shrubs and artificial rock forms before reaching a pond with carp and seasonal lotus. A zigzag bridge leads towards a pavilion that combines Chinese and classical architectural elements. The changing sequence of enclosed paths and open water is the main pleasure of the garden. Exhibitions sometimes use the pavilion, but its architecture and waterside setting remain worthwhile without an event.
What to look for
- The zigzag bridge crosses the carp pond towards the pavilion.
- Bamboo paths and artificial rock forms create a miniature mountain-and-water landscape.
