About Macau Museum
The displays move from early settlement and exchange between Chinese and Portuguese communities to local customs and contemporary city life. Archaeological material from Hac Sa and reconstructions of everyday activities give the story tangible form. Choose the history and folk-culture sections for a first visit, then emerge into the fortress landscape to connect the museum’s objects with the city outside.
What to look for
- Archaeological material introduces early settlement, including finds associated with Hac Sa.
- Folk-culture displays recreate leisure, religious ceremonies and celebrations in Macao.
