About Huangshui Forest Park · Dafengbao
Its summit rises to 1,934 metres, and the surrounding slopes are known for dense woodland and wind passing through the trees. A distinctive glass viewing bridge projects over the gorge in a racket-shaped loop, adding an exposed outlook to the forest setting. Nearby Sun Lake offers a contrasting open-water stop around Huangshui, although it requires a separate road connection rather than being assumed to lie on the same walking trail.
What to look for
- Dafengbao forest and high ridge: the wooded mountain setting is the main landscape feature of this part of Huangshui.
- Glass viewing bridge: its narrow approach leads to a rounded, racket-shaped viewing loop over the gorge, when the facility is open.
Location & getting there
Getting to Huangshui Forest Park · Dafengbao
Use Huangshui Town in Shizhu as the approach base and continue towards the Dafengbao scenic area northeast of town. Select 大风堡 for the forest attraction rather than treating the whole Huangshui National Forest Park as one entrance.
- Confirm the day's forest route and glass-bridge access at the scenic-area service point; the documented bridge shape does not establish its current operating hours.
