About Hailun National Forest Park

Approved as a national forest park in December 2020, it consists of the Jingjiadian Grand Canyon section and a smaller Forest Flower Sea section around Chenjiadian Forest Farm. The two components bring different landscapes under the same park name.

The Zhayin River canyon cuts through steep slopes in a landscape where granite and basalt are widespread. Mixed conifer and broadleaf woodland gives the forest a layered structure, while Chenjiadian's forest-flower landscape combines natural trees with planted flowers.

What to look for

  • The Zhayin River's steep-sided canyon
  • Mixed conifer and broadleaf woodland
  • Natural woodland and seasonal flower displays around Chenjiadian
