Yinchuan Zhongshan Gongyuan

Zhongshan Park is a long-established public park in northwestern Xingqing, with shaded paths, water and several historic features.

A park lake seen from its stone-embanked shore: a white single-arch bridge across the middle distance, willows and dense green trees on both banks, a fisherman in a grey jacket casting from the stone wall in the left foreground with a rod case beside him, and beyond the trees a Ferris wheel, a floodlight mast and low white buildings under a cloudy pale sky; the caption 宁夏银川 中山公园 2006-6-21 at the lower right.

About Yinchuan Zhongshan Park

Wenchang Pavilion and the bell pavilion around Yinhu give the landscape more character than a simple green break. The park began in 1929 and retains traces of the older city around its edges. It works well as a slower stop between visits to Yinchuan’s central monuments.

What to look for

  • Wenchang Pavilion adds a historic architectural stop to the park walk.
  • Yinhu and its bell pavilion provide a quieter waterside setting.
