About Zhashui Cave Scenic Area
The best-known developed chambers are associated with Buddha Cave and Heaven Cave, where mineral deposits form columns, stalactites and curtain-like shapes. The wider area contains many more caves than a normal visitor route includes. Keep the outing focused on the currently open show-cave circuit and the mountain outlook, distinguishing natural formations from the religious names and imagery used to interpret them.
What to look for
- The mineral formations and connected chambers of the developed Buddha Cave and Heaven Cave visitor area.
- Stalactites, columns and draped deposits that show the work of water in limestone.
