About Dabancheng Ancient Town
Baishuijian ancient town stands at the southern end of the Dabancheng basin at the foot of the Tianshan and was a key pass on the ancient Silk Road. The regional united front work department's case study describes the town as presenting the martial appearance of a high-Tang frontier garrison town, with Bogda snow peak in the distance, lush water and grass and extensive wetland.
In 2024 the town was successfully created a national AAAA-grade scenic area. The study records that it added inns including the Longmen Inn, a tavern, a specialty food street, a large open-air star camp and camel-culture services, and introduced immersive performance, scene simulation, interactive experience and cosplay elements; that it built 3,800 sq m of guesthouse accommodation, renovated the Wang Luobin music hall and the tavern, laid timber cabin camp platforms and timber boardwalks and built a modular steel luxury camp; and that it runs a historical and cultural exhibition hall and stages kite festivals, concerts, hanfu culture festivals and Dragon Boat Festival events.
The municipal register enters 白水涧古镇 as a 4A-grade scenic area in Dabancheng District at Hongshanzuizi village, team 10, no. 27, Dabancheng township; it does not use the name 达坂城古镇. A statue of Wang Luobin stands in the town, and the town is an education base for patriotism in the district.
