About Princess Jieyou Lavender Garden
The county register places the park at Qingshuihe town in Huocheng, on the northern foot of the Tianshan in the Ili river valley at 43°39′–44°50′ north, and records that its position, climate and soil closely resemble those of Provence, the original home of lavender. The register describes it as the third-largest lavender growing base in the world after Provence and Furano in Japan, as China's main lavender-producing area and as carrying the name "China's lavender hometown". It records that the park is the country's first theme exhibition park showing the whole lavender industry, that it is Xinjiang's first lavender wedding-photography base, and that it brings together a large-scale landscape, a herb variety garden, product display and lavender culture in one sightseeing park.
The county tourism bureau's feature records that the park, as a diversified park combining lavender growing, processing, cultural display and sightseeing, is a "China industrial tourism demonstration base". It records that on 1 June 2024 the newly built industry park was put fully into use, with 87.5 million yuan invested over 31.6 mu, and that the new buildings are a brand marketing centre, a science-and-innovation centre, a cultural-and-creative centre and lavender honey, essential-oil soap and aromatherapy workshops. The four buildings, it records, are grouped in an enclosing layout, with a hand-painted herb-flower gallery factory and a visiting corridor in the science centre, herb-flavoured tea snacks and herb academy courses, and a new 1,200-square-metre lavender street. To improve what visitors can see, the feature records, 300 mu of high-yield lavender viewing field, 12 mu of the Jieyou Gongzhu Tianshan Xiangyun rose garden and 50 mu of herb variety garden were added. The feature records 599,700 visits and 54,825,200 yuan of tourism revenue for the year up to its publication.
