About Lujiaowan Scenic Area

The site lies at the foot of the Tianshan, bordered by the Bayin'gou River to the west and the Danangou to the east, and the Tianshan Highway runs past it. It is made up of four named parts — the scenic service area, the pasture core area, the Leida Mountain Villa and the Jarkenjiaga folk village — with a total area of more than 19,000 hectares.

Its name comes from the Tianshan red deer, which shed their antlers once a year, leaving large numbers of shed antler sheaths in the gullies and along the river.

The Shawan municipal government records a national AAA rating in 2005 and a national AAAA rating created in 2020, and describes four complete vertical mountain landscape belts: snow peaks and glaciers, high bare rock, high mountain pine forest and high mountain grassland. Among the trees it names birch, white poplar and honeysuckle, an open list.
