About Zhuque National Forest Park

Zhuque National Forest Park (朱雀国家森林公园), also called the Xi'an Zhuque National Forest Park, is a forest park in the Qinling Mountains (秦岭) in Huyi District (鄠邑区), in the southwest of Xi'an, Shaanxi.

Huyi District backs onto the Qinling to the south and faces the Wei River to the north, and the district government names Zhuque and Taiping (太平) as its two national forest parks. Zhuque covers 26.21 km², split into five scenic areas with 105 scenic spots. It was set up in 1992, gained national forest park rank in 1999 and is also rated a national AAAA tourist attraction.

In a 2011 notice the government of Hu County (户县), as Huyi District was then called, described Zhuque as the core scenic area of the Qinling Zhongnanshan World Geopark (秦岭终南山世界地质公园). The same notice covers the 8 km valley between the park gate and the Zhuque exit of the Xi'an–Hanzhong Expressway (西汉高速), which the county planned as the park's approach and visitor service zone. Inside the park, the county's forest tourism bureau reported in 2016 that a forestry track from the park's meadow to Bingjing Peak (冰晶顶) had been completed.
