Fulong Beach 福隆海水浴场

About Fulong Beach

Fulong Beach is the sandy coastal recreation area beside Fulong on the northeast coast. Its golden shore and river-mouth setting distinguish it from the rocky capes farther along the same coastline. The bridge crossing toward the beach is another recognisable part of the landscape.

Sand sculpture exhibitions have become closely associated with Fulong, but the artworks are event displays rather than permanent beach features. Check the current festival programme if sculptures are the main reason for your visit; an older photograph does not establish what is present now.

A beach walk, a water activity and a wider cycling trip around Fulong are different outings. The visitor centre and current local maps help separate the managed beach area from riverbanks, nearby paths and the routes toward the old railway tunnel.

What to look for

• The sandy coast and contrasting river-mouth landscape.
• The bridge approach and views across the water.
• Sand sculpture displays when a current exhibition is operating.
