About Huashan 1914 Creative Park
Huashan 1914 is a former winery in Taipei’s Zhongzheng district that now hosts exhibitions, performances and creative businesses. Its name recalls an industrial site established in 1914, giving the cultural park a history beyond its present shops and event posters.
Production moved away in 1987, and the surviving factory spaces were gradually repurposed. Warehouses became venues, while the industrial chimney and open spaces retained visible traces of the earlier working landscape.
The experience changes with the exhibition programme. You can first explore the relationship between brick buildings, factory structures and open grounds, then choose a show that interests you. Outdoor access and individual exhibitions are separate parts of the visit.
What to look for
- Converted warehouses show how industrial spaces accommodate exhibitions and performances.
- The tall chimney is a surviving landmark of the winery landscape.
- The former rail-yard area contributes open green space to the cultural park.
