About Dongjiang Bay Beach
Breakwaters enclose the waterfront, giving it a different character from an undeveloped open-coast beach. The broad sandy shore is the main reason to visit, with views across the sheltered water towards the port-side setting. Treat swimming and water activities as separate, condition-dependent choices: the district authority requires visitors to follow the beach's weather, tide and lifeguard notices.
What to look for
- The artificial sandy shoreline facing the Bohai Sea.
- The sheltered bay and enclosing breakwaters viewed from authorised beach areas.
The surrounding area
Separate coastal municipal area with maritime and modern cultural attractions.

Getting to Dongjiang Bay Beach
Use 东疆湾沙滩景区 on the east side of Guanlan Road in Dongjiang. Select the beach's current visitor entrance rather than a general port or coastal-road pin.
- Check the district's road notices and the beach entrance board before entering the water; weather can change access to coastal roads and activities.
