About Yufeng Temple

The main hall sits in a balanced courtyard arrangement, while the camellia court contains the old tree known as Wanduo Shancha. Its branches have been trained into a broad canopy, producing successive flowers in spring. The Shilixiang court adds another garden space. Visit for the arrangement of buildings and plants as much as for blossoms, whose timing varies each year.

What to look for

  • The main hall court combines a gatehouse, central hall and paired side ranges.
  • The old Wanduo Shancha camellia forms a broad trained canopy in its own courtyard.
