Linshui Seasoned Noodles 邻水小面
Linshui Seasoned Noodles is featured among the local specialties of Sichuan.

Linshui Seasoned Noodles (邻水小面) are the xiaomian, or small bowls of seasoned noodles, of Linshui County (邻水县) in Guang'an (广安), eastern Sichuan. The Linshui county government says they combine the strengths of the xiaomian of Chengdu and Chongqing while forming a style of their own.
Flavour and texture
The county government describes the noodles as fresh-tasting and fragrant, with a moderate numbing heat, and made in many varieties. Sichuan Online (四川在线), in a 2023 guide to Guang'an for marathon runners, calls a bowl plain and unfussy, looking very hot but tasting fragrant.
Where it comes from
Linshui lies on Sichuan's border with Chongqing: Xinhua reports that 46 per cent of the county's boundary is shared with Chongqing and that the county town is 90 kilometres from central Chongqing, the closest of any Sichuan county. In 2025 the Guang'an culture and tourism bureau's public vote for the city's ten favourite tourism foods included Linshui noodles, one of five Linshui entries on the list.
At a performance for the sixth World Sichuan Cuisine Conference in Guang'an on 15 November 2023, one of the original songs praised the noodles with the line "Linshui xiaomian really does you credit" (邻水小面倍儿有面), China.com.cn (中国网) reported.
