About Fuzhou National Forest Park
Longtan Stream runs through the grounds, and the specialist gardens include bamboo, banyans and rare plants. The sprawling banyan known as the Banyan King is a useful focal point for understanding the park’s subtropical vegetation.
A visit can stay around the tree collections and lower stream paths. The valley extends farther into the hills, so a garden visit need not become a full mountain walk.
What to look for
- The Banyan King’s spreading canopy and branching form.
- The bamboo collection and the wooded corridor beside Longtan Stream.
The surrounding area
The provincial capital offers historic residences and a specific broth-and-snack food culture.
