About Dongguan Museum
The Ancient Dongguan exhibition occupies the third floor, while the lower galleries host changing collection displays and visiting exhibitions. The collection includes the large bronze bell from Zifu Temple and works associated with Ju Chao, Ju Lian and the Lingnan school. Begin with the archaeological story, then use the current exhibition programme to decide whether to concentrate on painting or another collection theme.
What to look for
- The Ancient Dongguan gallery places local archaeological material within the city’s early settlement history.
- Changing collection displays draw on Guangdong painting traditions, including Ju Chao, Ju Lian and Lingnan artists; individual works rotate.
