About Chimelong Safari Park
Its defining feature is the division between a walking zone and a vehicle-based safari zone. Seeing animals from these two settings gives the day a different structure from a conventional compact city zoo.
Plan around that distinction rather than treating every attraction in the wider Chimelong resort as part of the same visit. The safari park, water park, amusement park and circus are separate venues. Start by checking the safari park’s own entry arrangements and visitor map, then decide how to divide your time between the walking exhibits and the safari circuit.
What to look for
- The vehicle-based safari zone allows animals to be viewed across larger open areas.
- The walking zone provides a separate sequence of animal-viewing spaces.
The surrounding area
Provincial capital and a city base for Cantonese food, Liwan's old neighborhoods and Pearl River urban life.

Getting to Chimelong Safari Park
Hanxi Changlong is the named metro arrival point for the resort in Panyu. From there, follow the safari park’s own signed transfer or entrance arrangements; the wider resort contains several separate parks, so confirm that the final vehicle or drop-off serves the safari park.
