About Baicha Village
The curved thatched roofs and timber construction are the reason to come, especially after seeing Li material culture in a museum. Much of the community moved to newer housing, so the preserved village should not be presented as an unchanged living settlement. Stay on permitted paths, respect any occupied or working spaces and look closely at the relationship between house form, climate and local materials.
