About Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon
Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon brings together red cliffs, stepped waterfalls and stone-built villages around Shibanyan in northern Henan. It is a separate excursion from the nearby Red Flag Canal and from Baquan Gorge across the provincial boundary in Shanxi.
Taohua Valley is the water-focused part of the visit, with pools and cascades beneath steep walls. Taihang Tianlu follows the high landscape, while Wangxiangyan is a distinct mountain walking area. The contrast between valley-floor water and elevated views is the reason to choose more than one section if time permits. Local stone streets, courtyards and stairways add a settled human landscape to the rock formations. Choose the sections by walking ability and weather; a long scenic-road itinerary is different from a short waterside walk.
What to look for

Location & getting there
Getting to Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon
Use Linzhou and Shibanyan as the locality names when arranging arrival. Confirm which entrance serves your chosen section and how the internal transport works that day. Leave a separate time block for the Red Flag Canal instead of assuming one gate covers both attractions.
