About Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum

The museum connects Sun’s education and revolutionary activity with Hong Kong, while the house offers a separate architectural subject. Red brick, granite window and door surrounds, columns and decorative balcony ironwork give the building a strongly detailed exterior.

Begin by looking at the hall itself, then follow the biographical displays inside. Documents and objects connect personal episodes with the wider political story, including material associated with Sun’s Hong Kong relationships. Reading the house and collection together makes this more than a sequence of dates: the building supplies a domestic setting for the historical interpretation.

What to look for

  • Kom Tong Hall combines red brick with granite details and ornate balcony ironwork.
  • Documents and objects trace Sun Yat-sen’s connection with Hong Kong.
