About Hong Kong Park

The Edward Youde Aviary and Forsgate Conservatory give the grounds a living-collection focus, while Flagstaff House houses the Museum of Teaware. The contrast between greenery, older buildings and surrounding towers is visible throughout the site.

Choose a sequence that gives each kind of space time. The aviary and conservatory call for close observation, while the teaware museum adds a quieter indoor collection. Other former barracks buildings have been adapted for cultural and civic uses, making the park a useful example of historic structures absorbed into a modern city landscape.

What to look for

  • The Edward Youde Aviary provides a planted bird-observation environment.
  • Forsgate Conservatory displays plants within a greenhouse setting.
  • Flagstaff House connects the former barracks architecture with the Museum of Teaware.
