About Jao Tsung-I Academy
Red-brick walls and pitched Chinese-tile roofs preserve the character of the historic buildings, which are grouped across three levels. The lower zone contains exhibition space, while the middle zone accommodates cultural and educational uses; the upper zone is a guesthouse.
Begin in the public exhibition area and then follow the landscaped connections between the restored buildings. The interest lies in both the cultural displays and the way older structures have been adapted. Guest accommodation and booked programme rooms are separate from ordinary public access, so follow the signs for the visitor areas.
