About Ezhou Museum
Its raised, Han-inspired building gives the collections a monumental setting, but the detailed designs on mirrors reward a closer look. The historical name Wuchang in this context refers to the city now called Ezhou, which helps avoid confusion with modern Wuhan. Move between the mirror and Three Kingdoms displays to connect individual objects with the political and cultural history of this stretch of the Yangtze.
What to look for
- The bronze-mirror collection and its decorative imagery.
- The Three Kingdoms exhibition explaining Ezhou’s historical Wuchang identity.
