About Luodai Ancient Town

The Guangdong, Jiangxi, Huguang and North Sichuan halls represented communities arriving from different regions, and comparing them gives purpose to a walk through the old town. The Hakka Museum adds interpretation to those buildings. Start with one hall, then use another as a comparison rather than treating every frontage as interchangeable old-town scenery.

Location & getting there

Getting to Luodai Ancient Town

Luodai town is in Longquanyi District east of central Chengdu, approached along Chengluo Road. Arrange the final transfer to the ancient-town visitor area and assembly-hall streets; disregard old listings that describe a Luodai train station.

General visit reminders

Choose which halls or museum displays you want to enter and check their current access before arrival. Allow time to explore the side lanes rather than staying only on the main shopping street. Keep Luodai town separate from nearby Great Wall-style recreation sites when choosing transport, because they are different visitor destinations.
