About South Cliff Palace
The surviving Yuan-period stone hall shaped later construction, including the offset arrangement of Liangyi Hall. That hall honours Zhenwu’s parents and gives filial devotion a place within the Daoist complex. Compare the masonry and the changing alignment of the structures from the designated paths; the narrow ledges and cliff edges are viewing subjects, not places to imitate historic incense-offering practices.
What to look for
- The stone-hall and cliff relationship that determines the complex’s layout.
- Liangyi Hall’s offset position and its dedication to Zhenwu’s parents.
