About Oriental Buddha Park
Opened in 1994, it presents large stone figures, reproductions of Buddhist imagery and an exceptionally long reclining Buddha. Its appeal is the scale and arrangement of the sculptures, allowing visitors to compare different forms of Buddhist representation in one walk. Keep the distinction clear when planning: these modern works have a separate admission arrangement from the Tang-era Giant Buddha, even though the two attractions occupy neighbouring hillsides.
What to look for
- Large contemporary Buddhist sculptures and reproductions in a landscaped hillside setting.
- The reclining Buddha, whose elongated form contrasts with the seated Giant Buddha nearby.
