About Veterans' Spirit Exhibition Hall

The hall is in the 47th Regiment, which the Corps Daily describes as the birthplace of the veterans' spirit. Its predecessor units were the 719th Regiment of the 359th Brigade, 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army in the Anti-Japanese War, and the 15th Regiment, 5th Division, 2nd Army, 1st Corps of the First Field Army in the Liberation War. A ceremony to inaugurate a veterans'-spirit research society was held at the hall on 18 January 2024, and the Corps Daily's caption shows students from Moyu County on a study visit there.

The regiment has brought together several red-tourism sites, among them the PLA Advance-into-Hotan Memorial Hall, the Veterans' Home exhibition hall, the '38th Parallel' veterans' memorial garden and the General's Tree, an open list. It has held the Sand-Sea Veterans Festival for 14 consecutive years, and runs activities including a 'retrace the veterans' road' Taklamakan crossing challenge and veterans' academic seminars, an open list.

The Veterans' Spirit Exhibition Hall is named in the Corps Daily report only in a photograph caption, and the report's list of sites the regiment has integrated does not include the hall by name; the record therefore does not state that the hall is part of that particular grouping.
