About Dongchuan Red Land
Iron in the soil contributes to the red colour, while planting, harvest, rain and sunlight alter the appearance through the year. Luoxiagou and Jinxiu Garden are named viewpoints for comparing the patterns. The attractions are distributed along rural roads, so choose several stops with a driver or arranged transport and keep out of working fields.
What to look for
- Luoxiagou gives a named perspective on the red-soil farming landscape.
- Jinxiu Garden reveals layered fields and villages against the surrounding hills.
