About Songcheng
The main Songcheng show draws on Liangzhu, the Song court, Yue Fei and the White Snake story through large sets and stage effects. Around it, themed streets, Hongqiao and smaller performance spaces form a constructed entertainment landscape. Choose the shows that interest you before arrival and leave time between venues.
Construction began in March 1995, and the park held its opening ceremony on 18 May 1996. It received the national 4A tourist attraction designation (国家4A级旅游景区) in January 2001. The park has 20 theatres and performance venues, with covered corridors linking its main theatres and attractions. Its Song dynasty-themed streets include Dong Jie (东街) and Xi Jie (西街).
