About Xianfeng Temple
The temple’s surviving historic buildings and mountain setting make it a cultural pause within a demanding walk. The cave is a separate karst feature, not a reason to leave the managed route or attempt underground exploration. Plan the temple within the Hongchunping–Yuxian–Xixiangchi sequence, checking the open paths and your daylight allowance before continuing higher.
What to look for
- Historic temple architecture in the forested western ascent.
- The Jiulao Xianfu landscape, understood from the public temple and signed route.
