About Huayanding Temple
Its position opens views across the surrounding folds of Mount Emei when clouds allow, making the contrast between the compact building and the wider mountain setting the principal attraction. It belongs to the walking route above Wannian Temple and Chudian, with Jiulinggang further along. Choose it for a sustained mountain itinerary; visibility is variable and a clear panorama should be treated as a possibility, not a guaranteed feature.
What to look for
- The compact temple on a prominent mid-mountain peak.
- Mountain and cloud views, dependent on visibility.
