About Qingchuan Pavilion
The visit joins three distinct elements: the pavilion itself, Yuji Palace and Tiemen Gate. Together they connect a river panorama with the memory of Yu’s flood-control work and the historic city approach. The current pavilion includes reconstruction, so compare the character of the individual buildings rather than assigning the whole compound one age. Its riverbank perspective also makes a useful counterpart to the Yellow Crane Tower across the water.
What to look for
- The river-facing pavilion and its elevated outlook.
- Yuji Palace and Tiemen Gate within the connected precinct.
