About Zhanqiao
At the seaward end, Huilan Pavilion rises above a semicircular breakwater with two levels of curved eaves. Looking back from the pier reveals the buildings climbing behind Zhongshan Road. The visit is as much about this changing relationship between city and water as the pavilion itself.
