Vineyards and dance
Qibie Village (启别村) has vineyards of ice-wine grapes, while Tibetan pigs roam its woodland. At Tacheng’s 2025 harvest celebration, reba dance (热巴舞) was performed with rhythmic steps and coloured silk. Butter tea and Naxi baba flatbread (纳西粑粑) appear together in the celebrations of the He Wanchun household (和万春家).
Lisu clothing in daily use
In Baijixun Township (白济汛乡), Lisu craft practitioner Yu Fen (余芬) makes and wears traditional clothing. Her skills include colour coordination and embroidered motifs, learned through growing up with her mother’s work. She explains the stories behind the patterns to local people and visitors.
