About Pingshanhu Grand Canyon
The rim viewpoints reveal the large pattern, while the authorised lower route changes the scale to narrow passages and tall rock faces. Named formations such as Qinglü Feng and Shengui Wenshou are visual interpretations of the eroded shapes. Decide whether to remain on the viewing circuit or add the more demanding descent after checking the current route.
What to look for
- Qinglü Feng, the paired rock formation seen from the second viewing platform.
- Shengui Wenshou and the deep canyon channels below the rim.
The surrounding area
The city base for the coloured Danxia hills in the surrounding Linze and Sunan area.
