Setting and landscape
The Wuzhi Mountains (五指山), a branch of the Lesser Liangshan (小凉山), extend through the county from northwest to southeast. Their main peak, Laojun Mountain (老君山), reaches 2,008.7 metres. Mountains dominate the centre and west, while hills occupy the northeast.
What to see
Longhua Ancient Town (龙华古镇) has stone-paved lanes and the Longhua covered bridge (龙华凉桥), which crosses Xiaolong Stream (小龙溪). Old huangjue fig trees grow beside the bridge. The county tourism bureau describes lianggao (凉糕) and liangfen (凉粉) being eaten there. Another named sight is the standing Buddha on Baxian Mountain (八仙山大佛).
